Activities Equipment Curriculum
We pride ourselves on being an Outdoor Education Centre with a trip to Rhos y Gwaliau being so much more than just about the activities. Time and time again teachers tell us how much their children grow and develop in terms of personal and social development. The mountains are a memorable classroom to look at things first hand. Many of the following areas will be touched upon during the week and we can always stress certain elements in line with your course aims and objectives or up coming classroom lessons.
✓ PSHE: Teamwork, organisation, social interaction, nutrition, healthy life style and exercise
✓ Geography: Stream and Rivers, Mountain Geology, Water and rock cycles, changing landscapes
✓ Biology
✓ History
✓ Science
We can also build a number of curriculum based activities into the programme if you would like.
Bala study Half day
Spend time exploring the Market Town of Bala, we can tell you some of the history of the town following its journey from wool market to the modern day town. An excellent way of gathering information on a rural town as part of a comparative study.
Stream study Half day
Bringing in elements of KS2 geography and biology, the water cycle, geography of rivers, food chains and habitats. Spend time measuring the stream bed and flow as well as finding and identifying the creatures that live there.
Please contact us to discuss your course requirements.
Geography and Biology field studies
Whether you just want to use the centre facilities to deliver a field studies course or would like the benefits of our local experience, we can put together a course to suit.
