Trainee instructor post at Rhos y Gwaliau

Each year we take on several trainee instructors at the centre. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in the outdoor industry. This is a fantastic way to develop hands on experience teaching groups while still working towards instructor qualifications. Volunteers work along side our experienced staff with groups and are mentored to develop their technical and teaching skills.

Trainees are provided with room and board and are paid a small salary for work they do in the kitchen. There is a budget for doing Governing Body awards with volunteers being put forward once they have the relevant skills and experience.

During various parts of the year we are able to offer short term opportunities for additional volunteers, if you are looking for work experience opportunities then contact the centre.
